What is a cookie — in plain English?

A cookie is a tiny text file your browser saves on your device when you visit a website. Think of it like a sticky note the site leaves in your browser's memory. The next time you visit, the site reads that note and remembers things — like your preferences, or that you already accepted the cookie notice. Cookies do not run code, they cannot install anything, and they cannot read your personal files. They are simply small pieces of saved text.

Types of Cookies We Use

Tryamba uses four types of cookies. Here is what each one does and whether it is required or optional:

Essential

Necessary Cookies

These make the site work. They handle things like your cookie consent choice, security tokens, and session management. Without them, the site breaks.

Always active — cannot be disabled
Analytics

Performance Cookies

Set by Google Analytics. They tell us which pages get the most traffic, how long readers stay, and where they came from — all anonymised. No personal data is collected.

Optional — can be disabled
Functional

Functionality Cookies

These remember your preferences — such as your cookie consent settings — so you do not have to make the same choices every visit.

Optional — can be disabled
Affiliate

Affiliate Tracking Cookies

Set by our affiliate partners (Semrush, Hostinger, Fiverr, etc.) when you click an affiliate link. They track whether a purchase was made so we receive the correct commission. They do not collect your personal data or browsing history.

Optional — managed by partner sites

How We Use Cookies

Cookies on Tryamba serve a clear, limited purpose. We use them to:

  • Keep the site functioning correctly and securely
  • Understand which articles are most useful to readers so we can publish more of the same
  • Remember your preferences between visits
  • Accurately attribute affiliate commissions when you click a partner link and make a purchase

We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles, track you across unrelated websites, or sell data to third parties.

This table is updated when new plugins or third-party services are added. Affiliate partner cookies (Semrush, Hostinger, etc.) are set on their own domains when you click a link — they are not set by Tryamba directly.

4

Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies on Tryamba are set by third-party services we use. We do not control these cookies directly. The third parties responsible are:

  • Google Analytics — anonymised traffic and behaviour analysis. Google Privacy Policy →
  • Affiliate partners (Semrush, Hostinger, Fiverr, NameHero, Namecheap) — commission attribution only. Set on their domains when you click a link.
  • Beehiiv (newsletter platform) — if you subscribe to the Tryamba newsletter, Beehiiv may set cookies related to email preference management.

We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of these third parties directly for full details on how they handle data.

5

How to Manage Cookies

You have full control over cookies. There are two ways to manage them:

Option 1 — Use the Tryamba cookie consent panel: Click the "Manage consent" link in the footer of any Tryamba page to open the cookie settings panel and toggle categories on or off.

Option 2 — Manage through your browser: Every major browser lets you view, block, or delete cookies in its settings. Click the link for your browser below for direct instructions:

⚠️ Disabling necessary cookies will break parts of the site. Disabling optional cookies will not affect your ability to read content.

6

Your Cookie Choices

When you first visit Tryamba, a cookie consent banner appears. You can accept all cookies, accept only necessary cookies, or manage individual categories using the "Manage consent" option.

Your choice is saved for 11 months. After that, the banner will reappear and ask for your preference again. You can also change your selection at any time using the Manage Consent link in the site footer — you do not have to wait for the banner to reappear.

If you choose to disable analytics or functional cookies, no data about your visit will be collected beyond what is strictly necessary to keep the site running.

7

Updates to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we add new tools, services, or third-party integrations to Tryamba. When we do, the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will be revised.

We will not retroactively use cookies in new ways without updating this policy first. If you have questions about any change, contact us and we will explain it clearly.
